Rupert Neve Designs 5254 Diode Bridge Compressor

Rupert Neve Designs 5254 Diode Bridge Compressor

Since the early 1970s, Rupert Neve’s early diode bridge compressors have been revered for the punch & glue they bring to drums, instruments, and the mix buss – but these desirable characteristics were unfortunately accompanied by inflexible controls and fairly limited versatility. Rupert Neve Designs created the 5254 Dual Diode Bridge Compressor to capture the soul of these coveted compressors while providing modern updates including advanced timing control, significantly lower noise, fully stepped controls throughout, higher voltage power rails, and internal parallel processing capabilities. Unlike our VCA compressors, which are built for exacting clarity, the harmonically rich tonality of the Dual Diode Bridge Compressor is built to produce a wide range of colors – and built to help you make a statement with your music. Based on the dynamics circuit originally developed for the acclaimed Shelford Channel, the 5254 is outfitted for dual mono or stereo use with Rupert Neve Designs’ custom transformers and class-A electronics, tailor made for a compact 1U 19” enclosure. Fifty years after Mr. Rupert Neve created his first compressor designs, the Dual Diode Bridge Compressor reimagines the larger-than-life personality of these classic circuits with new levels of precision and control, enhanced creative power, and increased punch to your tracks, mixes, and masters.

VOVOX® Premium Cables at Awave

VOVOX® Premium Cables at Awave

The clearer the sound that reaches the ear, the more it moves us. Because all of us at VOVOX are passionate about music, we decided to develop sound conductors: cables optimized to transmit audio signals as purely as possible.

An audio concept must measure up to the human ear. That is why a sound difference that can be measured but not heard, is irrelevant for us. Relevant sound solutions, however, are important for us, even if they contradict common knowledge. We don’t want to turn cables into objects of worship: but the blind tests do show a real difference in sound.

For the best possible signal transmission, we have a wide range of sound conductors for all applications in the audio chain – from the internal wiring of the amplified musical instrument to the loudspeakers at home. It is also our concern to contribute to an improvement in the quality of audio recordings with the use of our products.

The development of perfect sound conductors is an ongoing process and we value the experience and input of our customers and partners. This information is being combined with our research in the constant development and improvement of our products.

Rupert Neve Designs Announces the Master Buss Converter and Black MBP

Rupert Neve Designs Announces the Master Buss Converter and Black MBP

Master Buss Converter

Whether you’re tracking, printing mixes, or mastering, the Master Buss Converter is a revelation in quality and functionality of A-D conversion technology. The analog drive circuitry allows the MBC’s converter to be fed by either a class-A transformerless path for maximum transparency, or by custom inter-stage audio transformers with variable Silk for a wide variety of tonal enhancements. Coupled with an astonishingly musical limiter, the MBC is always the best choice to capture your analog signals with breathtakingly three-dimensional accuracy.

Portico II Master Buss Processor – Now in Black!

Built to Neve’s specifications, the Portico II MPB combines the classic warm tone of the Neve consoles of the 1970’s with a few modernizations in design, such as mastering grade dented pots allowing for an increased headroom and dynamic range in comparison to his vintage gear. The customizable signal flow and straightforward parameters of both the compression and equalization components are geared towards analog gear users and those who want to add analog warmth to their digital or “in the box” mixes.
