New Roland Products Available for Pre-Order

New Roland Products Available for Pre-Order

Roland has announced a number of new products that are expected to reach stores by October 2016. A select range of these new products are now available for pre-order at AWAVE.

Roland Boutique TB03 Bass Line Synthesizer

The battery-powered TB-03 is a direct descendant of the famous TB-303 Bass Line Synth. The layout and controls are unchanged, so it works just like the original. It sounds like it too, thanks to Roland’s advanced ACB technology that recreates the hypnotic liquid grooves of the magic silver box. But the new TB-03 goes even further, with several enhancements not found on the original model. The four-digit LED display makes programming easier and more accurate, while overdrive and delay effects let you unleash a twisted, tribal wall of sound to send the crowd into a frenzy. Back in the studio, the TB-03 can send control information via MIDI or its USB port, the latter of which also functions as a 24-bit/96 kHz audio interface.

Roland Boutique TR09 Rhythm Composer

The influence of the TR-909 drum machine is still heard—and felt—more than three decades after it was launched. Now, the 909 sound is available as part of the Roland Boutique series in the form of the TR-09. Featuring the same front-panel layout and user interface of the original, the TR-09 is powered by Roland’s ACB technology, delivering the speaker-pummelling power of the TR-909 in a super-affordable and portable format. Offering precise control over an array of drum parameters and the ability to keep playing when switching modes, the TR-09 may be compact, but it still has the power to move people. Studio sessions are well catered for too, with four separate outputs via USB audio, external instrument control via a trigger output, and USB MIDI.

Roland DJ808 Serato DJ Controller

The DJ-808 is a state-of-the-art DJ controller with a 4-channel mixer, built-in drum sequencing, vocal processing, and the deepest Serato DJ integration available. Going way beyond a typical DJ controller, the DJ-808 is an instrument, with a built-in Roland “TR-S” drum machine with the world’s most iconic drum sounds and control over the Serato Sampler within Serato DJ. The DJ-808 also has a VT Voice Transformer that can pitch your voice to match the key of your Serato DJ tracks. And you can even connect synths and other electronic gadgets, and produce a live remix, all with a single USB cable. Sound quality is high-end and the hardware is built tough yet easy to carry – ready for inspired sets that push the boundaries of what it means to DJ.

Roland Aira System-8

Powerful and deep, the SYSTEM-8 delivers a vast palette of sounds inspired by over four decades of legendary Roland synths. Its next-gen Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) engine powers an eight-voice, three-oscillator monster with stunning filters and effects, highly versatile LFOs, and a massive array of high-resolution knobs and sliders to control it all. Support for three PLUG-OUT synths means the SYSTEM-8 can host spot-on recreations of numerous Roland classics, and JUPITER-8 and JUNO-106 PLUG-OUTS are even included with purchase (*). Split and layer synths for unheard of sounds, and tap into the integrated vocoder, arpeggiator, CV/Gate outs, and advanced polyphonic step sequencer to fuel endless creative explorations.

Roland Boutique VP03 Vocoder & Vocal Synthesizer

The VP-03 is a miniature version of the VP-330 Vocoder Plus, one of the most popular vocoders ever made. Part of the Roland Boutique series, the VP-03 brings together the worlds of synthesized sound and the human voice, using the latest ACB technology to accurately emulate the sound that made the original so influential. The VP-03 has the VP-330’s vocoder, human voice, and strings sound sources on board, and comes with a gooseneck microphone. And when paired with the optional K-25m Keyboard Unit, you’ve got the authentic VP-330 vibe in a reliable, low-cost setup that’s highly portable. There are new features too, including 16 Chord Memory setups and a Voice Step Sequencer for even more creative potential. Whether you want the classic, electro-infused “talking robot” sound or the expressive power of shaping synth sounds with the human voice, the VP-03 puts it all at your fingertips.

We could not be more thrilled to learn that David Gilmour – one of our all-time guitar heroes – has added the Source Audio Programmable EQ to his live rig.

In fact, he’s added THREE Programmable EQs to his live rig. Gilmour recently returned to Pompeii – the site of his band’s 1972 documentary, Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii – for a once-in-a-lifetime (well… maybe a twice-in-a-lifetime) show in support of his amazing new record, RattleThat Lock. Find out more about David and how he’s using the Programmable EQ.

Soleman Midi Foot Controller by Source Audio

Soleman Midi Foot Controller by Source Audio

The Source Audio Soleman MIDI Foot Controller is a versatile, highly configurable hardware and software MIDI controller housed in a durable, compact package.

It has two hardware MIDI outputs, which allow it to interface with any hardware that adheres to the MIDI standard. It also has a USB-MIDI interface for direct control of MIDI-compatible software such as DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), virtual instruments, synths, or VST plugins.

The four footswitches scroll through scenes, launch individual MIDI messages, step through set lists, or trigger highly customizable MIDI macros. An external switch port allows for two additional footswitches to make navigation more convenient.

The expression input allows the user to use a passive expression pedal to generate MIDI continuous controller messages in a very flexible manner, providing direct expressive control over MIDI-compatible devices and software.

The Soleman’s high-contrast LCD is visible in light conditions ranging from a dark stage to direct sunlight. It displays relevant information about scenes, set lists, MIDI configuration, expression outputs, and other modes.
