The Studios at Linden Oaks in Rochester, NY has commissioned a 32 channel API 2448 Console for their Studio A space. A recording facility that hosts clients from world-renowned recording artists and commercial clientele like HBO, General Motors and NBC, to recording projects for faculty and students of the Eastman School of Music, the Studios at Linden Oaks was in need of a versatile console that would suit their vast expanse of sonic needs.
“For the past 10 years, our facility has been using a 32 fader DAW control surface, along with a smaller analog console. It was a great ‘hybrid’ system for some projects, but a real challenge for tracking larger ensembles with live players,” says Steve Forney, the Chief Engineer/Studio Manager at Linden Oaks.
“Our 32 channel API 2448 solves that challenge with in-line signal path architecture, excellent routing flexibility, DAW control, automation and of course, legendary API sound. Thanks to the kind folks at Gold-Diggers and RSPE Audio Solutions in Los Angeles, I was able to test drive their 2448 desk and was immediately impressed with not only the ‘big board’ feel and unmistakable API sound, but also the value. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of the 32 channel 2448.”
