HOW YOU WANT TO HEAR THE SOUND MESANOVIC CDM65 CONTROLLED DIRECTIVITY MONITOR

The CDM65 is a 3-way active DSP speaker designed for uncompromised performance and connectivity. It has the unique ability to upload various predefined tunings to the speaker such as the cardioid mode, which controls the directivity of the speaker down to 150Hz. The CDM65 can also receive wireless audio from any WiSA transmitter or from the Platin Stereo Hub. These features make the CDM65 a perfect fit for studio monitoring as well as home HiFi listening.

Features

CONTROLLED DIRECTIVITY

The CDM65 ships from the factory in its cardioid mode. This mode was specifically designed to control the directivity of the speaker down to around 150Hz. A traditional speaker of this size would start to become omni directional below 500Hz and could, in return, present issues with the in-room response in most untreated rooms. By directing the energy towards the listener and away from the rear and side walls, the CDM65 reduces undesired room effects and the need for extensive room treatment. The cardioid pattern is created using propriety DSP processing which utilizes the side firing subwoofers to reduce acoustic energy moving from the front to the rear of the speaker.

PRECISION ACCURACY

The most important design goal of the CDM65 was to design a speaker with industry leading accuracy by utilizing state-of-the-art design and measurement tools, such as the Klippel Near Field Scanner and the CEA 2034 standard also known as “Spinorama.” We designed and tuned the CDM65 using our anechoic chamber and traditional testing methods. Further, our results were verified using the NFS system and optimized for the CEA 2034 measurements. The result is a speaker with a true +/- 1.0dB on axis and listening window response, with near perfect in-room response, controlled directivity, and low distortion.

WIRELESS AUDIO

One of the unique features of the CDM65 is its ability to receive wireless audio from any WiSA transmitter. The CDM65 is a WiSA certified speaker and can connect to any WiSA transmitter or the Platin Stereo Hub. The quality of playback is uncompromised with an uncompressed 24-bit 48/96 kHz stream that can be paired up to a 7.1 setup. The Stereo Hub is manufactured for Mesanovic by Platin Audio. It features an assortment of available inputs including USB Audio, HDMI, Optical, RCA, AirPlay, Spotify Connect, ChromeCast, and more. The Stereo Hub also features a DSP processor which can be utilized using the Mesanovic App. The app features room correction and the ability to manually EQ the response to your preference.

COMPACT ALL-IN-ONE SYSTEM

Precision accuracy, controlled directivity, analog input and wireless connectivity – Mesanovic has managed to pack all of these features into a compact cabinet while preserving an extended bass response down to 36Hz. The CDM65 is a no compromise all-in-one system that recording engineers and audio enthusiast alike will appreciate.
