Introducing Gestures For RAVEN Multi-Touch Consoles
Slate Digital‘s RAVEN series of Multi-Touch Production Consoles are a combination of touch-screens, hardware, and relevant software to turn your DAW into a control surface and touch-based mixing console.
The audio company has now announced RAVEN 3.3, the latest version of the software component. Its highlight is the introduction of classic multi-touch gestures, such as pinch-zoom, finger swipes to open and close plug-ins, and other shortcuts. However, they are only available on MTi 2 hardware. Slate says it is currently working on adding gestures to the MTi 1 and MTX versions over the next few months.
Additionally, RAVEN 3.3 adds support for Cubase and Nuendo on Windows, so the Steinberg crowd can get in on the action. Steven mentioned FL Studio and Sonar are being worked on, with Ableton (PC), Reaper, and Harrison Mixbus left for later.
