This month, our friends at AEA Microphones had the honor of welcoming not one – but two incredible organizations to their headquarters: Women’s Audio Mission and the Audio Engineering Society Los Angeles (AES LA) chapter.

These special visits brought together passionate audio professionals, engineers, and students to connect over their shared love of audio technology and the legendary legacy of ribbon microphones.

Women’s Audio Mission: Amplifying Inclusion in Audio

First up were the trailblazing leaders from Women’s Audio Mission, a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of women and gender-expansive individuals in music production and the audio industry. Known for transforming the face of sound through training and education, their presence at AEA HQ sparked meaningful conversations about equity, representation, and the future of audio innovation.

The visit was full of hands-on exploration, historical insights, and a behind-the-scenes look at how AEA’s world-renowned ribbon microphones are crafted.

AES LA: Legends of Audio Engineering Unite

Shortly after, AEA hosted a group of passionate professionals from AES Los Angeles, the local chapter of the world’s leading organization for audio engineering. Together, they dove deep into discussions about sonic detail, microphone technology, and the timeless craftsmanship behind every AEA mic.

The AES LA crew toured the workshop, shared stories from the field, and celebrated the past, present, and future of pro audio excellence.
