OVERVIEW

The Wave Distribution WD500 is a compact, dual-slot horizontal 500 Series chassis designed to house and power two standard 500 Series modules in a space-efficient 1U rack format. Its recessed slots accommodate standard modules, while the chassis provides stable power with up to 300mA available per voltage rail, making it a practical foundation for building a flexible analogue processing setup. The WD500 features XLR and 1/4-inch connections for straightforward integration with the rest of your studio signal chain.

For greater flexibility, a rear-panel Stereo Link switch allows the two installed modules to be configured for linked stereo operation, while individual Ground Lift switches provide a practical way to address unwanted ground-loop hum. This makes the WD500 particularly useful when combining multiple 500 Series processors in a compact rack environment, whether you’re expanding an existing system or creating a dedicated pair of processors for tracking, mixing or outboard processing.
