WesAudio ngOmniBox – Next Generation Analog Mix & Master Processor w/ Digital Recall
OVERVIEW
The WesAudio ngOmniBox is a next-generation analogue mix and mastering processor designed to bring the flexibility of a carefully assembled analogue finishing chain into a single, fully recallable unit. Its stereo signal path combines a passive EQ, analogue bus compressor, saturation, clipper and stereo width processing, with dedicated input and output stages and external insert points for integrating additional analogue processors. Each processing block can be individually activated or bypassed, allowing engineers to build a processing chain around the specific needs of a mix.
The processing architecture also provides the flexibility to change the order of the passive EQ and bus compressor, with instant EQ → COMP or COMP → EQ routing available. The dedicated saturation section adds harmonic character and density independently of the compression and EQ, while the analogue clipper provides peak control, additional loudness and transient shaping. Stereo width processing allows precise adjustment of the stereo image, giving ngOmniBox the versatility to cover a broad range of mix bus and mastering applications.
While the audio path remains fully analogue, digital control provides the convenience expected from a modern professional workflow. Full recall of analogue parameters, A/B/C comparison, an integrated LCD display and DAW plug-in integration make it possible to automate, compare and instantly recreate processing settings directly from a session. With controllable input and output levels, metering, dedicated inserts and a final-stage output insert that can operate in stereo or Mid/Side, ngOmniBox provides a complete analogue finishing solution in one box.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Fully Analogue Mix & Master Processing
ngOmniBox combines multiple essential analogue processing stages within a single stereo signal path, providing EQ, compression, saturation, clipping and stereo width processing for mix bus and mastering applications.
Flexible Processing Architecture
Each processing section can be independently activated or bypassed, allowing engineers to create a signal chain around the requirements of the material rather than being locked into a fixed processing path.
Switchable EQ & Compressor Routing
The passive EQ and bus compressor can be placed in either EQ → COMP or COMP → EQ order, providing two fundamentally different approaches to shaping the final sound.
Analogue Passive EQ
The fully analogue passive EQ is designed for broad, musical tonal shaping and can be positioned before or after the bus compressor.
Analogue Bus Compressor
The dedicated stereo bus compressor is designed for mix-bus glue, dynamics control and final mix shaping, with independent bypass control.
Independent Analogue Saturation
The dedicated saturation section adds harmonic character and density independently from the EQ and compression stages, with continuously variable control and independent bypass.
Analogue Clipper
The dedicated clipper provides analogue peak control, additional loudness and transient shaping, and can be independently bypassed when not required.
Precise Stereo Width Processing
Dedicated width processing allows engineers to adjust the stereo image as part of the overall analogue finishing chain.
External Analogue Inserts
Dedicated input and output insert points allow additional external analogue processors to be integrated into the ngOmniBox signal path. The output insert can also operate in stereo or Mid/Side.
Complete Digital Recall
Digital control provides full recall of analogue parameters, allowing complete processing configurations to be saved and recreated without manually documenting hardware settings.
DAW Integration & A/B/C Comparison
DAW plug-in integration provides control, automation and recall directly from the session, while A/B/C comparison makes it easy to evaluate different processing configurations.
Integrated LCD Control
The integrated LCD provides detailed visualisation of parameter values while maintaining comprehensive control from the hardware.
