The Burl Audio BDA16 – in vertical orientation – is a 16-channel digital-to-analog daughter card designed for integration with the B80 Mothership chassis. Building on the success of the BDA4 and BDA8, the BDA16 benefits from over 25 years of expertise in converter design. It features advanced analog circuitry and high-quality D/A conversion, employing a Class A discrete transistor signal path for exceptional sound quality. The card includes Burl’s acclaimed NextGen analog section, equipped with the latest BOPA14 discrete op-amp. By utilizing a compact DAC chip form factor, the BDA16 enables higher channel density while delivering Burl’s signature audio quality at a competitive per-channel price.

*The Burl Audio B80 Mothership is a 4U, 10-slot empty chassis that allows you to install any combination of Burl A/D and D/A converter cards, enabling you to build a custom, modular converter system with up to 128 input channels. It includes a 1U power supply, which provides ample power for high-headroom, low-noise converters.
