OVERVIEW

TERRA is the primary reference monitor from Ex Machina Soundworks, designed for engineers who demand accuracy. A three-way coaxial design delivers flat frequency response from 40Hz–30kHz (±1.5dB) with ±15° phase coherence and 90° x 90° conical coverage, maintaining stable imaging even off-axis. TERRA’s monocoque aluminum cabinet is engineered to be acoustically invisible – no resonance, no colouration, just your mix. Individual driver calibration and zero-phase digital crossovers ensure perfect time alignment across the entire spectrum. TERRA is complete on its own, with optional GRAVITY subwoofers available when deeper extension or higher SPL is required.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION & CALIBRATION

Each TERRA monitor is individually measured and calibrated at the driver level before shipping. Zero-phase digital crossovers ensure perfect time alignment across all drivers, preserving transient accuracy and imaging precision. TERRA uses pure monitoring DSP to linearise the loudspeaker itself – not to compensate for the room. Over-the-air firmware and calibration updates allow TERRA’s performance to improve over time as Ex Machina’s measurement models and algorithms advance.
