The Royer Labs R-10-MP is a matched pair of R-10 passive ribbon microphones, crafted in Royer’s Burbank, California factory for outstanding studio and live performance. Engineered for high sound pressure levels up to 160 dB @ 1 kHz, the R-10 offers superb audio quality and durability. Its compact design allows for flexible positioning, making it an ideal choice for close miking on loud sources like electric guitars, brass instruments, and drums.

Equipped with a 2.5-micron aluminum ribbon element created with Royer’s direct-corrugation process, the R-10 is protected by a three-layer windscreen and internal shock mount. The microphone’s humbucking transducer rejects electromagnetic noise, while its open grill minimizes standing waves, enhancing sound clarity. Featuring Royer’s offset ribbon design, the R-10 handles higher SPLs on the front side and offers a brighter response on the back for acoustic instruments.
